Dear Friend,
Tories playing all the tricks and no treats!
I hope you are well. You may have been expecting my Parliamentary Diary last Friday. However, given the tragic news of Sir David Amess’ death, all communications were suspended.
I’ve found it incredibly hard to wrap my head around the news. David was such a kind man who always found the time to stop and say hello to Cadi and I in the halls of Westminster. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time.
It’s been a very busy few weeks, with Parliament sitting all this week, including Friday to vote on ending fire and rehire practices. And it seems the Tories are pulling out all the tricks and no treats this October:
- Voting against banning fire and rehire and to protect workers’ rights.
- Poor handling of HGV driver crisis continues weeks before Christmas.
- Hitting hard-working people's wallets in the midst of a cost of living crisis.
- Failing to take violence against women and girls seriously yet again.
This Conservative Government is letting the UK and Cardiff North down and I'll continue to stand up against it. If you require any assistance, please do not hesitate get in touch with me on [email protected].
With very best wishes,
