John,

Since 2010, corporations have supercharged their influence in politics by funneling huge amounts of money into our political campaigns in order to advance their agenda.

They’ve been doing this legally, and destructively, because of Citizens United — a Supreme Court ruling that allows anyone or anything to engage in unlimited political campaign spending.

Corporations are not people and should not be able to use their deep pockets to change the course of elections — all for their own benefit. It’s time the power was back in the hands of the American voters!

Demand that Congress overturn Citizens United and end unlimited amounts of political spending that influence our elections!

Citizens United leaves people like you and me, who are advocating for the legislation we need to protect our food, water and climate, up against the influence and deep pockets of major corporate spending. This is not how political equality functions. And this is definitely not what democracy looks like.

But there’s a way out of this: The Democracy for All constitutional amendment was introduced in the House and Senate as a resolution. It aims to reverse the damage Citizens United has done to our democracy over the past 10 years by limiting the influence of corporate interests in elections.

Sign the petition: Urge Congress to support the bipartisan Democracy for All constitutional amendment.

Power to the Voters!

Going into 2020 we need to elect climate champions that will relentlessly stand up and fight, for people and the planet. Now is the time to come together and demand a political process that works for the many, not the few.

I hope you’ll join me and other organizations in signing this critical petition to give us political equality now!
