PFAS (Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl chemicals) are found thorughout our environment and in all of our bodies. They're called "forever chemicals" because they stay in our bodies forever and are linked to an ever increasing number of major health issues. And, for decades, the manufacturers of these chemicals have been dumping them into our watersheds across the country.

Harley took them seriously while in Congress. He held congressional hearings and introduced legislation to try to fight against PFAS pollution and make the people polluting with PFAS clean up their dangerous mess.

Now, because of Harley's leadership on the issue, the Biden administration is taking action to stop these forever chemicals from poisoning us.

And, the thing is, PFAS are a huge deal here in Orange County. 61 of our groundwater wells have been contaminated and closed due to the toxic PFAS chemicals, which means we have to devote our resources to solving this absolutely pressing problem.

But despite all that, our opponent voted against a bill that would help Orange County families by ensuring they don't consume water contaminated with PFAS. That's absolutely ridiculous.

It's clear: we need Harley Rouda back in office and Michelle Steel out. If you agree, can you chip in today? [[link removed]]

Harley Rouda served California's 48th district in Congress. In 2018, Harley defeated the 30-year incumbent Dana Rohrabacher in the very first political campaign of Harley's life. During his time in Congress, he's embraced common sense and values to tackle climate change, address deteriorating infrastructure, confront homelessness, and protect Social Security and Medicare. In 2022, Harley will be facing one of the toughest fights in the entire country, so he's depending on the support of grassroots individuals.
