I wanted to give you a quick campaign update:
- We hired a local college senior and organizer who was a fellow on the last campaign and has been doing an amazing job helping us with fundraising, organization, and political outreach.
- We moved into a small office in a locally owned coworking space in Tacoma, which has podcast and video studios, conference rooms, and (most importantly) unlimited coffee. Plus it has room to grow as our team gets bigger.
- Our launch video has gotten 130,000 views on Twitter and brought in donations.
- We upgraded our email and fundraising software, and now can reach even more supporters.
- I’ve done interviews with the Humanist Report and several other podcasts.

In January 2022, I will need to hire field, data, and communications team members, and I’m currently saving for that. Unlike 51% of Congress, I am not a millionaire and can’t self-fund this campaign, ask my rich friends for money, or go into campaign debt. I have to go to the grassroots, save carefully, and watch every dollar we spend.
