Hi John,

My brother’s story is the reason I decided to run for public office. David was born 10 weeks premature, and underwent $2 million worth of surgeries to help him survive. There’s no way my parents could have afforded that without insurance.

I know this issue isn’t unique to my family. Millions of families have to make the impossible choice between putting food on the table and paying for life-saving medications or operations. Healthcare costs have spiraled out of control, and it’s unacceptable to me that in the world’s richest country we still can’t treat healthcare as a human right.

That’s why I’m so adamant that we allow Medicare to negotiate lower prescription drug prices. If you stand with me, John, please take a moment to sign onto my petition today.

Together, I know that we can create a more affordable and equitable healthcare system.

Thank you,
Josh
