John, I'm anxious to share the latest from CRC with you:

  • How green is Big Labor?
Big Labor appears to be more green than many people thought, and not just because of its love of greenbacks from coerced dues. The Congressional Democrats' proposed "budget reconciliation" legislation includes a straightforward payoff from Big Green to Big Labor at taxpayer expense. But the deeper connections between unions and the Green Left go far beyond diverting more tax dollars to unions. CRC's Michael Watson reports on the latest evidence here.
  • Who paid for DC's "climate chaos" week?
Last week in "observance" of Columbus Day, protestors tried to tear down barricades at the White House, vandalized a statue of Andrew Jackson, assaulted police while blocking traffic near Capitol Hill, sprayed fake oil on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce building, and attempted to storm the Interior Department. Professional activist groups were the primary agitators, but the protests were actually organized far in advance by a little-known group. CRC's Parker Thayer exposes the plot here.
  • Is a friend of the court a friend indeed?
Hot-button topics like abortion and gun control increasingly attract the attention of organizations that few of us associate with these issues. Yet the ACLU, NAACP, American Bar Association, American Medical Association, and many other organizations have submitted friend-of-the-court briefs in a New York lawsuit in support of severe restrictions on gun permits. CRC's Robert Stilson reveals the briefs here.
  • How is the media landscape changing?
Love him or hate him, Donald Trump and his presidency were good for the liberal media. But Trump also brought disruption to the media from all sides. On the right, Fox News faces new rivals, Rush Limbaugh has exited the stage, and the Drudge Report is lost in a leftist wilderness. On the left, CNN and MSNBC ratings have tanked since the White House changed hands. Michael Watson updates a May 2019 media report here.

“Rise of the EcoRight"

Hayden Ludwig appeared on the Bill Meyer Show to discuss how the Left spreads global warming alarmism to the Right. The “eco-Right” is CRC’s name for lobbying, litigation, and activist nonprofits that identify themselves as free market or broadly right-of-center and yet are attempting to rebrand global warming ideology as conservative.

The Blueprint for
Buying Elections

In this episode: We’ve covered how Mark Zuckerberg poured hundreds of millions of dollars into the 2020 elections through the Center for Tech and Civic Life, but our guest today adds provocative analysis to the existing evidence that the Facebook CEO deserves a thank-you card from President Joseph Biden.

In an article originally posted at the Federalist and, as we spoke, the cover story of the New York Post, William Doyle of the Caesar Rodney Election Research Institute asserts, “The 2020 election wasn’t stolen—it was likely bought by one of the world’s wealthiest and most powerful men pouring his money through legal loopholes.” Doyle joins us to explain his evidence.
