The U.N. Working Group on Arbitrary Detention has now specifically condemned China's "arbitrary deprivation of liberty" for Pastor Cao and has demanded that China "release [Pastor] Cao immediately."
Pastor Cao - a U.S. permanent resident - was unjustly sentenced to 7-years imprisonment for living his faith and serving the poor in China and Burma (Myanmar).
He provided supplies. He built schools. And he shared the good news of Jesus. And now he's suffering behind bars - another victim of China's crackdown on Christian pastors and churches.
Now the U.N. Working Group's decision could help apply the necessary pressure on China to free Pastor Cao and let him return to the United States and his family.
We will continue to fight, using the U.N. Working Group's decision to advocate for his freedom. But we need YOU.
Sign Our Petition: Free Christian Pastor John Cao.
