In the richest country on Earth, no one should be hungry, homeless, without healthcare, or in poverty. The planet shouldn’t be burning while politicians like my opponent take money from oil companies.

This is just common sense.

There are solutions to these problems. There is money for these problems. What we lack is politicians who aren’t afraid to upset their oil company donors. I don’t take any corporate money — much less oil money — so I need your help to win. Can you give a dollar now to help me win?

It’s ridiculous that we have money to bail out Wall Street but don’t have money for fundamental problems like homelessness and climate change. How is it that banks are “too big to fail” but the Earth isn’t?
