Friend,
What we heard Wednesday night was sad. It was horrifying. It was a moment I hoped I’d never see in this country. Trump’s racism wasn’t just a tweet, but instead a chant at a campaign rally.
I wish I could say it will all just go away. That if we just wait around, this will fade. But this racism is nothing new and it didn't just appear when Trump took office. It's a force in our nation that we've had to push back on time and time again. Our country can be better than this, but we have to put in the work to make it happen.
I’m asking you to chip in today, not because of a deadline and not because of a policy fight, but because the President has made it clear that the soul of our nation is on the line in 2020. From winning full control of Congress to putting someone with morals in the Oval Office, we need to win up and down the ticket to make it clear that America is a nation that embraces our diversity.
We are a nation that is made stronger because of our diversity. Let’s make that clear in 2020.
