Friend, let me take you back to Texas exactly one year ago...
Every radio station and TV channel was plastered in campaign ads. Front porches were covered with red-white-and-blue brochures. Voters’ phones filled up with emails, calls, and texts, begging them to get to the polls.
But despite some big victories, including historic statewide turnout, many progressive campaigns fell short — including mine and Julie’s. And we learned a very important lesson about what actually wins elections.
Nationwide, a handful of issues outperformed both presidential candidates with voters of every political stripe — namely, supporting workers, improving wages, and legalizing weed. Because, unlike the watered-down messages of many candidates, these real and meaningful issues inspired voters to show up.
Enter Ground Game Texas. We’re launching city-based campaigns around ‘workers, wages, and weed’ and going straight to voters’ doors to talk about these popular issues. We’ve learned that it doesn’t matter how many ads you air or flyers you pass out in the weeks before Election Day — voters show up to the polls when they see that real progress is possible. So we’re making it possible.
We have the winning formula to build real, lasting political change in Texas — but we’re relying on our grassroots donors to help us take it statewide. Will you chip in today so we can finally build a progressive Texas from the ground up, friend? [[link removed]]

Ground Game Texas has already mobilized tens of thousands of voters in Austin — and we’re just getting started. The size of our impact between now and Election Day 2022 will come down to the grassroots resources we’re able to raise.
Thank you for being a part of our work to transform Texas,
Mike Siegel
