This month, a major break in an oil pipeline off the coast of California caused over 125,000 gallons of oil to flood into the Pacific Ocean, causing severe damage to Southern California’s coastline and killing precious wildlife.

This disaster confirms what we already knew – offshore drilling is dirty and dangerous. While oil companies will continue to defend this practice, Americans need to make sure their voices are heard: Add your name to say NO to new offshore drilling!

Fossil fuel executives continue to turn a profit at the expense of our people and our planet. It is unacceptable that so many Californians are once again facing the devastating effects of an offshore oil spill when there are clear alternatives that would help us protect our environment while following through on our promise to combat climate change.

We must act now to end offshore oil drilling once and for all and hold those responsible accountable for this catastrophe. Add your name to say NO to new offshore drilling!
