John — he’s at it again. 

Although we all wish he would just go away for good, Trump is still making headlines. 

This week, Trump sued the bipartisan House committee investigating the January 6 insurrection in order to prevent the release of White House documentation of his actions and communications that day. 

This is yet another ploy by Trump and his cronies to dodge facing any consequences for his despicable actions — and to make sure he’s able to run again in 2024.

Between Eric’s work in the House to fight back against Trump’s GOP minions and our team’s efforts to ensure Virginia stays blue next week, we’re doing everything we can to make sure that doesn’t happen. 

As a former President who has been impeached not once but twice, it’s ridiculous that Trump should try to claim executive privilege. 

Trump should be doing everything he can to ensure that our country never has to face the type of violence that took place in our Capitol that day ever again. Instead, he’s confirming what many already knew to be true: Trump incited the insurrection.

It’s critical that we get to the bottom of this, John. We are at a turning point for our country: We can either hold these insurrectionists accountable — Trump included — or we risk sending the message that there are no consequences for attacking our democracy… and Trump could run again.
