Friend —
Before I represented Minnesota in the U.S. Senate, I ran my own small business and was active as an organizer in my community. That work eventually led me to become a leader at Planned Parenthood, and later, Minnesota’s Lieutenant Governor alongside former Governor Dayton. I love serving Minnesotans, where I see the spirit, creativity, and hard work that makes our state so amazing.
My time working across Minnesota has given me the opportunity to get to know both Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan as friends and colleagues. And anyone who knows Tim and Peggy knows that it’s impossible to overstate their love for our state, or their determination to make a difference in the lives of our citizens.
That’s why I couldn’t be more proud to announce my support for their re-election campaign.
Over the last few years, Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan have led us through uniquely challenging and unprecedented times. And when things got tough, they never backed down.
As we navigated the COVID-19 pandemic, they acted quickly to save lives, followed the recommendations of scientists, worked around the clock to support our frontline workers, and led the fight to provide economic assistance to small business owners and main streets throughout the state.
As we continue to work together to make sure Minnesota stays on the path to recovery, we need Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan’s bold leadership more than ever.
That’s why I’m reaching out to you with an important request: Will you join me in supporting Governor Tim Walz and Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan by splitting a donation between their re-election campaign and our work today?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your split donation to Tina Smith, Tim Walz, and Peggy Flanagan will go through immediately:
These are difficult times for so many in Minnesota and across our country. We need to elect leaders who will stand up for working families and for our democracy – I know we can count on my good friends and colleagues, Governor Walz and Lt. Governor Flanagan.
Thank you for your support.
