Team, have you seen the news?!

Ex-Senator Dean Heller is at it again. He just announced he’s running for governor here in Nevada.

In 2018, I defeated him after voters came together to put an end to his history of broken promises, send me to the Senate, and elect Steve Sisolak to the governor’s office. And now I’m asking for your help to stop Republicans like him once again.

We need leaders who will stand with everyday people, not Donald Trump. Dean follows Trump’s lead on spreading lies about our elections and working to take away our health care. He even said he wants to pass a Texas-style abortion ban here in Nevada. One thing’s for sure: we can’t let him anywhere near the governor’s office.

So today I’m reaching out directly to ask for your help to defeat Republicans like Dean Heller and elect Democratic governors everywhere. Please, will you split a contribution of $5 or more between my campaign and the Democratic Governors Association to help us meet our fundraising goal?

Republican governors in Texas, Florida, Georgia, and more have signed laws this year to suppress the vote. Our democracy is under attack and we must do everything we can to protect voting rights. That means we've got to invest in building a grassroots effort to keep Democratic governors like Steve Sisolak in office and flip more red states blue.

There are 38 governors’ races between now and next November, including Nevada’s. Every election won means one more state protected from GOP attacks on voting rights, reproductive rights, and access to health care -- and every loss gives them an opening to take us backwards and undo our progress.

Nothing is more important than protecting our fundamental rights and defending our nation’s values. So today, I'm writing to ask for your help in electing Democratic governors -- because the future of our democracy truly depends on it. We can’t afford to lose to Trump Republicans like Dean Heller. But we beat him once before, and with your help we can do it again.
