John,
Senator Kyrsten Sinema’s “blockade,” preventing the rich and corporations from finally paying their fair share, is causing Democrats to scramble to raise the revenue necessary to Build Back Better. Just look at this New York Times Headline:
This is leading Democrats to consider Senator Ron Wyden’s (D-OR) new proposal of the Billionaires Income Tax, which would raise hundreds of billions of dollars from America’s 700+ billionaires, taxing their extreme wealth gains. We think Senator Sinema is wrong in opposing rate increases, but Senator Wyden’s Billionaires Income Tax is well-targeted, and will help us get the vital Build Back Better investments over the finish line.
Taxing billionaire wealth is incredibly popular with the American people and must be included in the Build Back Better Act. As Congress rushes toward finalizing this critical legislation, can you rush a contribution to demand billionaires start paying their fair share?

John,
Reports out of Washington are that Democrats are nearing a deal on Build Back Better. But a small handful of conservative Democrats are still demanding significant compromises to our agenda.
Senator Joe Manchin has pushed for slashing the number of children and families benefiting from the Child Tax Credit, which the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities says will negatively impact tens of millions of children, including 5 million children of veterans and active-duty families.1
And, Politico is reporting that Senator Kyrsten Sinema “remains opposed to one of the party's chief goals of raising tax rates on high-income earners and corporations.”2
We’re holding our elected officials accountable, demanding Democrats pass a Build Back Better plan that lifts up all families―and finally makes the rich and corporations pay their fair share. President Biden ran on a promise to tax wealth like work and unrig our tax code, and his Build Back Better plan would do that. Any member of Congress that opposes this plan is siding with Wall Street over working people.
With a deal expected any day, rush a contribution to fight for our priorities of lifting up millions of families while finally making the rich and corporations pay their fair share.
