Rest assured, we are kicking it into high gear this upcoming week to make
the final preparations for the big show. We’ve got some BIG announcements
next week in regards to what special guests might be dropping into the
call to say a few words at the event. I’d hate for you to miss it! [ [link removed] ]Be
sure to get your tickets to Celebrate Progress today - each gift helps our
organization thrive and grow, moving the progressive conversation in
Nevada to the headlines each and every day.
With that, allow me to introduce our final honorees!
Nevada Justice Association
[2]alt_text Our Northern Nevada Progressive Partner of the Year is the Nevada Justice
Association! NJA is an organization of independent lawyers who represent
consumers and share the common goal of improving the civil justice system.
Their members are fierce advocates for access to justice, fairness and
ensuring every Nevadans’ voice is heard and their rights protected.
Throughout regular and special legislative sessions in Carson City, NJA
has been there right by our side on important issues of worker’s rights,
criminal justice reform, and more!

PLAN
[4]alt_text Our Progressive Partner of the Year for Southern Nevada is the Progressive
Leadership Alliance of Nevada (PLAN)! Founded in 1994, they bring together
nearly 30 diverse organizations into one cohesive force for social and
environmental justice in Nevada. PLAN builds power with the community
through strategic organizing and policy advocacy to build a strong and
fair Nevada that puts people and the planet first. We’re so lucky to work
closely with them on righteous fights at every level of our state
government! Just this past legislative session, we worked alongside them
to achieve one of their long-time campaign goals: raising taxes on the
mining industry to fund public education.
