The Texas GOP’s plot to win in 2022 is simple: manipulate the system to dilute the voting power of Black, Latino, and Asian American communities.

Not only will the newly approved Texas maps shift several districts in the GOP’s favor, but the new version would have voted for Donald Trump 51-48 compared to 50-49 for President Joe Biden under the old lines.

Texas Republicans know that the only way they can keep winning elections is by gerrymandering their way to victory.
