Lead-contaminated water is a kitchen sink problem so we need to throw everything we can at it.

Reports show that over 5 million New Jerseyans might be exposed to lead contamination in our water, and across the country, it threatens the health of millions of Americans -- including our children.

As our water infrastructure ages, we need to confront immediate challenges and look to current and future technologies to assist in lead remediation. That's why I'm asking you to add your name next to mine and demand our leaders take immediate action to address this public health crisis.

As chairwoman of the House Science Subcommittee on Investigations and Oversight, I'm leading hearings to discover new methods and technologies we can use to address lead exposure. I want to see those innovations make it out of the lab and into our communities to resolve this critical issue.

That's a start, but we can't stop there.

Safe drinking water is a basic human right, and we need to do everything we can to make sure all Americans have access to it. And we need everyone on board to do it.

Add your name and call on our leaders to take immediate action to protect our families from lead exposure.

Thank you,

Mikie
