<[link removed]> As Nation Faces Supply Chain Crisis, Port of
Baltimore Is “Adding More Ships And Running Smoothly”
<[link removed]>
As the nation continues to face economic disruptions from the backlog of cargo
ships, the Port of Baltimore is running smoothly and adding additional ships to
help address the supply chain crisis.

According to a report
<[link removed]>
in Fox Business, the Baltimore port has added two new container ships in
recent weeks. The number of containers at the port has increased by 12% year of
year. Under Governor Hogan, Maryland has made key strategic investments in the
vital infrastructure of the Port, including a recent dredging project
<[link removed]>
to allow two massive container ships to tie up at the Port at once. U.S.
Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg even recently visited

the Port of Baltimore to view this success.

While Washington’s failure to build infrastructure for the 21st century is
continuing to threaten the nation’s economy, Maryland is once again leading on
making smart, forward-looking, and strategic investments.

Governor Hogan Argues For “Reaganesque, Big-Tent” GOP In New Book
<[link removed]>
In a new book from Washington Examiner senior political correspondent David M.
Drucker, titled “In Trump’s Shadow: The Battle for 2024 and the Future of the
GOP,” Governor Hogan expresses
<[link removed]>
his concerns for the future of the Republican party, worrying “the GOP is
becoming a balkanized party that cannot win national elections.”

Governor Hogan argues Reagan provided the “optimal” model for the party
through his “positive vision for the future” that appealed “to a wider
audience.” According to the book, “as someone who has managed to win as a
Republican in one of the most reliably Democratic states in the country, the
governor is acutely aware of the party’s performance in national elections
since Reagan left the White House” with the Republican presidential nominees
failing to win “anything resembling a landslide since 1988.”
