John, we’re running out of time to stop the Biden administration from reimplementing the cruel Remain in Mexico policy that puts thousands of children and families in danger.
This policy has sent thousands seeking safety to wait in tent camps in dangerous border cities where Mexican cartels are known for kidnapping, extortion, and abuse. Since the policy’s start in 2019, over 7,000 cases of violence, rape, and murder have been reported.
John, it’s clear that we need to do everything possible right now to end policies like Remain in Mexico and support the people affected on the ground. This is what my team at Families Belong Together is dedicated to doing, and why I’m reaching out to you today.

What’s happening at the U.S. Southern border is heartbreaking, but we need to be relentless in our fight to support the families that need us. We can do this.
Recent reports have detailed that Border Patrol has turned families away through Remain in Mexico even after witnessing children with disabilities struggle -- in one instance an 11-year-old with severe epilepsy went into an episode that prompted vomiting and memory loss and they still turned him away.
The U.S. is turning its back on the people who have come to our doorstep for safety -- something that all of us would do in a heartbeat to protect our families.
