Comrades!
It's a spooky Striketober and we have an exciting announcement for you! This November's business meeting has become Cranksgiving instead! We are going to push our scheduled business meeting from November to December in order to give us more time to plan a business meeting and a perfect excuse to host a Cranksgiving event within our community!
Never heard of Cranksgiving? It's a bike-based food/goods drive that happens all across the country. We'd like to host one that's accessible and gives people things they can actually use or need and these events are a wonderful opportunity to provide food & community to the 1 in 9 Denver households that experience food insecurity each holiday season. Here's where we need your help: if you are interested in planning this event, have connections to a food bank, or want to volunteer to organize/run the event, please email: [email protected].

Membership Turnout and Engagement (5min ask for feedback)
This
chapter is what we make of it. So much of the work that we do is the
result of folks willing to organize and show up to do the
work - no matter whether it's electoral, direct action like
supporting a picket line, eviction defense, or mutual aid. In that same
vein, we are working on a membership survey to find out what our members (like you) want
this chapter to look like going forward! Whether you've just recently joined or have been here since the founding of our
chapter we want your input! Your help in
designing this survey will allow us to craft a launching point for the chapter as we move into 2022! It will also be a great opportunity to discuss COVID safety protocols for indoor business meetings and socials
in the coming months. Our aim is to hold our first event back at the
Washington Street location sometime in December. If you are interested in
helping us design the survey, please join the membership-working group on slack (wg-membership) or email
Greg at [email protected]!
With Solidarity,
Greg V - Fundraising Chair

Donate directly to Denver DSA
If you like the work we're doing, please consider donating directly to the chapter so we have the financial means to keep doing it! While we receive quarterly dues shares from National, your direct donation to Denver DSA gets money into organizers’ hands quicker. We have one-time and monthly options of virtually any amount available. Give us socialist cash to beat capitalist trash!
