A busy week on the 9th Floor, as Governor Ducey made critical investments in water conservation, discussed opportunities in education and ways to better serve the people of Arizona.

Governor Ducey Invests $30 Million To Protect Lake Mead, Colorado River Users
Governor Ducey this week announced the investment of $30 million to help keep the Lake Mead reservoir from descending to critical levels, a major step forward in the long-running effort to protect the Colorado River system, a vital source of water for Arizona’s communities, tribes and agriculture.

“The federal government’s threat to strip the ICA of its OSHA authority is nothing short of a political stunt and desperate power grab,” said Governor Ducey. “The ICA is actively engaged in a public input process, encouraging Arizonans from every corner of the state to participate, and now the Biden administration is attempting to silence input from citizens and stakeholders alike. We won't allow it without a fight.”
