What's Going On At This Slaughterhouse?

At Mountaire Farms, a North Carolina slaughterhouse that processes 540,000 chickens a day, workers are quitting in large numbers ([link removed]) as they allege they’re being exposed to a toxic chemical that feels like it has “invaded your brain.”

“It gives us headaches. It’s something in the water with the chickens because if the mist gets in your eyes, it stings like acid,” said a worker.
