CNN reports that the latest poll out of Iowa “should terrify Democrats.” Joe Biden's approval ratings in the early-voting state sank last month to a jaw-dropping 31%.

The truth is, Donald Trump failed Iowa by prolonging and inflaming the COVID-19 pandemic, driving the economy into full-blown recession, and sowing deep wholesale disillusionment with reality. Yet thousands of Iowans are unable to comprehend the depth of the Trump administration's failure to govern.

David Axelrod reminds us that ignoring the problem is no solution. Right now, Team Trump is firing on all cylinders to boost Trump's hand-picked 2022 House and Senate mouthpieces. Yet POLITICO reports that Democrats have “lost our fundraising advantage” to the GOP's “army of energized small-dollar donors.”

That's not news to us. We've been working overtime to protect and empower strong progressives like Val Demings, who's fighting to oust failed Florida Senator Marco Rubio, and protect our razor-thin 50/50 Senate Majority. But we've seen a serious drop-off in our fundraising numbers lately. Now we've got to raise $3,927 by the end of next week or else we won't be able to protect Demings or any Democrat from Team Trump's invective.
