[1]Cori Bush

We have exciting news,
John!

Tomorrow, Cori is being honored at the 2021 EBONY Power 100 ceremony as a
social justice champion. The event originally began in 1971 and honors the
achievements of Black leaders across industries from entertainment to
business, sports to science, and more.

This is a huge honor, and we know Cori deserves it. Cori has been
organizing for transformational change for years — as an activist in
defense of Black lives and Congresswoman.

is advocating and legislating in Congress to save Black lives, pass
President Biden's agenda, and bring justice to our communities. Our
movement is funded by gifts of $5 and $25, so please, will you chip in
$5, or whatever is meaningful to you, right now to keep
Cori in Congress?

When Cori joined Congress this January, she didn't leave her activist
experience in the past. She came to Congress as a "politivist" because she
knows that policy change only occurs when people work on the inside and
outside of our political systems.

Cori remembers marching in the streets for over 400 days calling for
justice for Michael Brown, that's why she's working to end qualified
immunity for police officers and transform our system of public safety.

Cori knows the stress and danger that come from being evicted, that's why
she stayed on the steps of the Capitol for days calling for an eviction
moratorium extension and introduced the Keeping Renters Safe Act.

Cori's seen the disproportionate impact the climate crisis is having on
Black and brown communities, that's why she's advocating for environmental
justice through her bill, the Green New Deal for Cities.

John, Cori
needs this movement to have her back so she can keep her focus on working
to save Black lives and creating a truly just system. [ [link removed] ]Please, will you
make a $5 donation right now to help re-elect Cori so she
can continue boldly leading legislation and respond to attacks from the
far-right and future challengers?

In solidarity,

Team Cori
