week: NAFCU advocates on CU priorities, expects rate cut
The House
and Senate are in session this week with discussions continuing on the fiscal
year 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), spending bills, and more.
NAFCU will advocate on credit union priorities related to these issues and also
monitor a House Financial Services Committee markup and the Federal Open Market
Committee's (FOMC) monetary-policy setting meeting.

Blog covers adopting FCU bylaw updates
In a new post on the Compliance
Blog, NAFCU Senior Regulatory Compliance Counsel Elizabeth LaBerge discusses adopting
the NCUA's update of its federal credit union (FCU) bylaws and posting them
online. The NCUA Board last month unanimously passed a final rule, codifying in
one place several NCUA legal opinions and a variety of bylaw provisions.
