This week: NAFCU advocates on CU priorities, expects rate cut
The House and Senate are in session this week with discussions continuing on the fiscal year 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), spending bills, and more. NAFCU will advocate on credit union priorities related to these issues and also monitor a House Financial Services Committee markup and the Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) monetary-policy setting meeting.

Compliance Blog covers adopting FCU bylaw updates
In a new post on the Compliance Blog, NAFCU Senior Regulatory Compliance Counsel Elizabeth LaBerge discusses adopting the NCUA's update of its federal credit union (FCU) bylaws and posting them online. The NCUA Board last month unanimously passed a final rule, codifying in one place several NCUA legal opinions and a variety of bylaw provisions.

Reminder: Reach thousands of CU leaders via NAFCU's digital directory
NAFCU's newly developed digital and interactive 2020 Vendor Directory is designed to give service providers and businesses key exposure to the credit union industry's top players. Those who wish to be included in the print edition of the directory – published in the January-February edition of The NAFCU Journal – must submit the order form by Oct. 31.
