"Nine months before she won Buffalo's Democratic mayoral primary, India Walton walked in the middle of Court Street shouting into a megaphone to three dozen protesters in front of the downtown police headquarters. 'They have not listened,' she said of the police. 'They have not listened because they don't care...No justice, no peace.'"

Hey John, we need your help -- because we need to elect India Walton for mayor in Buffalo.
BLM PAC is partnering with the Working Families Party (again!) to recruit volunteers for this critical mayoral race in Buffalo. Right now, we have the power to elect a candidate ready to throw down for Black lives and total liberation. That candidate is India Walton.
Back in June, India won her primary against a 15-year incumbent -- overcoming all the cynics and political insiders with her relentless organizing.
That should have been that, but opponents of change and progress don't rest.
Now, the incumbent India beat is running a cynical write-in campaign backed by dark money. By dark money, we mean those upholding white supremacy -- billionaires, Trump supporters, and developers.
But we wouldn't be who we are if we didn't believe the power of the people can overcome the power of money in politics.
So it's all hands on deck to ensure India Walton is elected mayor of New York's 2nd largest city on November 2nd -- less than 2 weeks away.
Check out the various (virtual) volunteer shifts we've got coming up, and sign up below! If we come together, we can make history in Buffalo with India on November 2nd >>
What: Call voters for India Walton for Buffalo Mayor
When: October 24th, 25th, and 27th | November 1st
Where: Your couch, kitchen table -- anywhere! This is a virtual
phone bank.
Not only is volunteering for this historic race critical to India's success, but it's also never been easier. You'll get everything you need -- training, voter lists, etc. -- to help elect a leader dedicated to Black liberation.
This election could make all the difference for Black folks in New York's 2nd largest city. Police budgets, public safety, community resources -- it's all on the line this election. And for the first time in 15 years, we have a chance to make a real difference for our people and elect India Walton.
So what do you say John, can you sign up for a volunteer shift and help win this race? If every person reading this signed up for just 2 hours of phone calls, we'd reach the entire city!
In love and solidarity,
Black Lives Matter PAC
