Last night, President Biden said he’s open to eliminating the filibuster in order to pass voting rights legislation and much more.

This is huge.

The filibuster is a Jim Crow era relic that’s been weaponized by Mitch McConnell to prevent us from addressing some of our nation’s most pressing issues like voting rights and abortion access. Ending the filibuster is critical to protecting our democracy.

But some Democrats, like Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema, still insist on keeping the filibuster intact, even with the president’s stance.
