John,

India Walton, a nurse and community activist, is a bold leader ready to
upend the status quo and fight for the working class.

She shocked the political establishment by unseating a four-term incumbent
in New York’s second-biggest city while running as a democratic socialist.

If she wins, India would become the first woman elected as Mayor of
Buffalo, New York.

But she is taking on the establishment in her race as the incumbent mayor,
Byron Brown, is mounting a reelection campaign funded by Trump-supporting
corporate developers scared that India might actually deliver on her goal
of affordable housing.

And it's not just Brown that she is taking on...

Jay Jacobs, the New York State Democratic Party chair, compared India to
former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke when explaining why he choose not to
endorse her.

David Duke is a vile person that was a member of a known domestic terror
group. India Walton believes housing is a human right. How you even begin
to make this comparison with a straight face is beyond me.

India is taking on the entire establishment and needs your help to fight
back.

India summarized her agenda quite well on the night of her primary victory
saying “All that we are doing in this moment is claiming what is
rightfully ours. We are the workers. We do the work. And we deserve a
government that works with and for us.”

But the establishment is so scared of an agenda that puts people first
that after India's primary victory, the city council literally began
looking into how they might make the job of Mayor obsolete in order to
stop her from taking power.

Change doesn't just happen, it takes place because progressive elected
officials, like India Walton, fight for it.
