Friend,
Last month, California officially became a
universal vote-by-mail state, meaning that every registered voter in
California will now automatically receive a mail-in ballot ahead of
future elections. This law -- which affects 22 million Americans --
was a tremendous victory for the voting rights movement. But this
week, our fight for free and fair elections was dealt a devastating
blow.
On Wednesday,
radical Republicans in Congress blocked another critical
voting rights bill for the third time this year. Evidently,
standardizing early and mail-in voting and making Election Day a
federal holiday were too “radical,” in Mitch McConnell’s words, for
Republicans to get behind, but we all know the truth: They’re simply
determined to make it harder for Americans to
vote.
But I’m not giving
up, and neither can you. If
you agree that our right to vote is worth fighting for, will you rush
in a contribution to my leadership PAC today?

Polls consistently show that a
majority of Americans support establishing national guidelines to
allow vote-by-mail and in-person early voting, and agree that voter
disenfranchisement is a “major” problem. But the GOP is so out of
touch, they’ll do just about anything to cling to power -- and we
can’t let them get away with it.
Let’s show my colleagues across the aisle what we think
about their repeated attacks on our voting rights. Chip
in to support Blue Momentum PAC and help me elect more Democrats to
Congress.
Best, Ted
P.S. There's
an important election coming up, and I'm counting on YOU to exercise
your right to vote and elect Democrats up and down the ticket. Plus,
if you live in Virginia, be sure to vote for Terry McAuliffe for
Governor, and if you live in New Jersey, let's help re-elect Governor
Phil Murphy!
