“I dentifying and Understanding Housing Discrimination: What is Discrimination? How Do You Recognize It? What Should You Do If You Experience It?" Early voting has begun and I hope that each one of you have started to partake. If not the last day to early vote is next Friday, October 29th. Election Day is Tuesday, November 2nd. Remember, NO WAY on PROP A!
Wednesday, October 20th, 2021 @1pm TAJ will present about NO WAY on PROP A : how the propositions fear mongering tactics are dangerously harmful to our communities equity and economy. Pouring thousands of more funds into APD's already racially institutionaled culture will only increase the racial disparaties among black & brown bodies. We will dive more into No Way Prop A and discuss updates on the third legislative session.

Dance Away Detention Participatory Defense is a program for us to walk alongside members of the community and support them as they navigate systems of power. We at Grassroots Leadership & Texas Advocates for Justice are not service providers per se. We do, however, provide a safe and nurturing space where we can combine the teachings of the participatory defense model and the knowledge drawn from our lived experiences in pursuit of the most desirable outcome. If you or someone you know could use an advocate and help in navigating the criminal justice system please complete the form [[link removed]] or email [email protected] [[link removed]] .
