Denver Post: "House votes to hold Trump ally Steve Bannon in contempt"
John,
Once again, in a critical moment for our country, Diana was called upon to lead the House. Last night, Diana presided over the bipartisan House vote to hold Steve Bannon in criminal contempt of Congress.
Steve Bannon, the founder of the far-right news platform
Breitbart, was once Donald Trump's chief strategist in the White House. He spoke to Trump ahead of the January 6 insurrection. And the day before the insurrection, he
publically said, "Now we're on, as they say, the point of attack tomorrow… It’s going to be very dramatic."
Bannon has refused to testify before the January 6 commission. Congress held him accountable. Now, the Justice Department will take its next steps.
Diana believes that no one is above the law and will always take necessary steps to bring violators of our Constitution to justice. That's why she's ensuring that the January 6 commission can do its job.
It's time to hold those who aided and embedded Trump, compromised our democracy, and put public safety at risk accountable.
Diana can't do that alone -- she needs you to add your voice to this crucial fight. Sign on now to commit to the fight to protect our democracy >>
