Dear John,
We're nearing the finish line, but we must keep up the pressure; Congress must keep their promise to Build Back Better for women and families. We know even before the pandemic, Black, brown, and immigrant women and families have suffered the most hardships. This is our chance to change that.
Congress is running out of time to vote on this historic plan. The Build Back Better plan, if passed will be one of the boldest and largest investments in women, caregivers, and families in generations. This bill will provide deep investments in the things we care about like direct investments in child care, the child tax credit, paid family and medical leave, health care, housing and more.
We are almost at the finish line: Contact Congress NOW.
We have to ensure there is significant and sustained funding for the building blocks women depend on: child care, paid leave, home care, housing, health care, and the child tax credit.
We need the Build Back Better plan to pass NOW. We need Congress to prioritize this plan because our communities need relief and deserve investments that show a commitment to build a better foundation for our country.
In solidarity,
Anna Chu
