Voting rights are under attack, and our team is gearing up to make sure we protect the right to vote for everyone in our country.
As we call on the Senate to follow the House’s lead and pass the critical John. R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, my team is looking to Kansas to prepare for anything the Republican-controlled state legislature throws our way.
In the year since the largest voter turnout in our history, 19 states have passed voter suppression laws to make voting harder for marginalized communities next year, including Kansas.
While this notion is horrific alone, there is at least one voter suppression bill in 48 state legislatures still waiting to be passed. We can’t let them strip millions of Americans of their fundamental right to vote.
