City centre cycle routes

Work is continuing on new and improved cycle lanes in the city centre to connect existing routes and make cycling an easier, safer and more enjoyable experience.

We're currently working on the Wilford Street junction with Castle Boulevard.

There's still time to take part in the Nottingham Schools Travel Survey, for parents or guardians of pupils who attend primary schools in Nottingham.

This survey is about how your children travel to school and why, and will help Sustrans and the council to understand the issues families face around the school journey and encourage more pupils to travel sustainably to school.

All operators in the city continue to clean vehicles thoroughly on a regular basis, and windows on buses will be kept open for ventilation.

Rail services ??

*East Midlands Railway:* Engineering work is taking place affecting the Nottingham to London route on Sunday 24 October. Services will not call at Beeston, and replacement buses will run between East Midlands Parkway, Beeston, and Nottingham. Check your journey before travelling. Read more. [ [link removed] ]

As a result of strike action there will be changes to East Midlands Railway services until further notice. Reduced timetables will operate on the following Sundays:

Clifton Bridge to fully reopen from Saturday 23 October

National Highways will lift all lane restrictions on Clifton Bridge by 6am tomorrow (Saturday 23 October).

Some works will still continue underneath the bridge during the final phases of the scheme, however there will be no impact on traffic.

National Highways is advising motorists to allow extra time for their journeys as they get used to the road layout.

Severn Trent Water replacement scheme

Severn Trent will be undertaking a scheme to replace water mains on various roads in the Forest Fields area from July 2021. This will include rolling road closures and parking suspensions in 100m sections to excavate and install new water mains in the highway..
