Hello John,

As the Biden Administration is considering deep cuts to housing in the federal infrastructure bill, NPH and partners are working diligently to push for the inclusion of affordable housing development and rental assistance provisions in the final federal infrastructure package.

Right now, it’s critical that we demand that these provisions remain in the bill.

Will you take a quick, critical action today?

Together, let’s demonstrate that affordable housing and rental assistance in the final infrastructure bill is a top priority by elevating this issue to Speaker Pelosi and uplifting Representative Maxine Waters’ recommendations, quoted via the New York Times!

Let’s tell Speaker Pelosi we agree that funds for affordable housing are critical.

Let’s emphasize that more affordable housing and rental assistance is key for our communities as they recover and emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Let’s urge lawmakers to do the right thing during these precarious times.

As a reminder: The investments we’re demanding will ensure that nearly 1.5M affordable homes are built nationwide, including 228K in California alone, and that 1 million additional households across the country will have access to rental assistance.

What does this look like? Imagine our low-wage workers who have been on the frontlines during this pandemic, our BIPOC communities who have been disproportionately burdened by unjust and racist housing policies, and everyone having dignity and access to safe, stable, affordable housing.

It means that no one gets left behind, it means strengthening entire communities

Thank you for taking critical action today!
