With their new gerrymandered congressional maps, the racist Texas GOP just cemented their “dominance for years to come.”

Black and Latino communities drove 95% of Texas' population explosion tracked by the 2020 Census, according to Daily Kos. Yet the Texas GOP has redrawn the district lines to build a wall around white Republicans, silence communities of color, and beat a path for GOP House boss Kevin McCarthy to claw back control of the chamber.

The belligerant Texas GOP is emboldened by its latest misogynist shock victory, having successfully banned virtually all statewide abortions. Now, by subjugating the diverse major metropolitan areas around cities like Houston and Austin to total political irrelevance, the Texas GOP will weaponize its outsized influence on national politics to totally dissolve our razor-thin House majority. Team, we simply can't let that happen.

When Democrats Turn Out is fighting this hard. But POLITICO reports that we're up against Kevin McCarthy and the GOP's “army of energized small-dollar donors” which is already pouring in a ton of vital House campaign cash. Progressives aren't just at a serious disadvantage, here. We're in for the electoral fight of our lives.
