Folks,
I'm glad the LA Times editorial board gets it. Fair redistricting is fundamental to a functioning democracy.
Unfortunately, Republicans across the country are doing everything they can to make sure this year's redistricting is anything but fair. As the NDRC's Director of Campaigns, I see it every day:
Gerrymanders in Ohio and Arkansas that are so bad, even the Republican governors expressed concern. Maps in Texas that deny adequate representation to communities of color. Processes in Florida and North Carolina that leave out citizen voices.
I know this community can help make things right for people nationwide, but I'm worried that we’re running out of time. Maps have already been enacted in states like Ohio, Indiana, and Nebraska. Bigger states like Texas could be next.
With the next 10 years of U.S. politics on the line, I need your help. Can you dig deep and make a donation to help the NDRC fight for fairness?
