Monica Tranel For Montana

Team,

The labor movement’s resurgence in American politics has arrived: 10,000 John Deere workers are striking for fairer wages as the company’s profits -- and CEO’s salary -- have skyrocketed while employee wages have stagnated.

I’m proud to see the United Auto Workers union take a strong stand against exploitation and assert their right to fair pay.

In the spirit of Montana’s rich history of union leadership to defeat greedy Copper Kings, I’m calling on 3,000 Montanans to join me in standing with John Deere workers in their fight for fair pay »

I STAND WITH JOHN DEERE WORKERS »

John Deere's history of exploitation has deep roots in Montana.

They’ve created a virtual monopoly on essential equipment for farmers. By forcing farmers to become dependent on their expensive products and repair services, John Deere is reaping millions of dollars in profit while farmers struggle to break even.

John Deere has even poured thousands of dollars into lobbying our very own state legislature to kill Democrats’ right to repair bills. (You can read here a state senator admitted he was influenced by the Montana Equipment Dealers Association and John Deere to kill his right to repair bill just this last legislative session)

Unlike Republican Ryan Zinke -- who joined anti-right-to-repair farm industry lobbyists to speak at the Montana Equipment Dealers conference earlier this month -- I support right to repair and every worker’s right to form a union.

We cannot allow massive corporations to return us to the days of Copper Kings. We defeated them then and we will defeat them now. Please, sign your name in support of John Deere workers on strike today »

3,000 MONTANANS NEEDED: STAND WITH JOHN DEERE WORKERS »

In solidarity,
