Demand the Senate get to work

Friend,

Since January, my husband and partner Jason has been working hard to pass hundreds of pieces of legislation to benefit families across Colorado and all over the country.

Jason has introduced and co-sponsored countless bills to tackle real issues in America -- the impending threat of the climate crisis, income inequality, inadequate services for veterans who put their lives on the line for our country, and the gun violence epidemic.

Yet almost none of these bills have become law -- because Mitch McConnell and his allies in the Senate refuse to hold votes on the majority of bills passed by House Democrats. Enough is enough: Demand the Senate get to WORK and prioritize working families.

These bills, sitting in the Senate and waiting for a vote, contain vital solutions and protections for families of all backgrounds. Bills like:
  • The Climate Action Now Act, the first congressional vote in a decade to address the threats of climate change, would put the U.S. back on track with the Paris Climate Agreement.
  • The Raise the Wage Act, which would increase the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour for all workers.
  • The Violence Against Women Reauthorization Act of 2019, which provides vital funding and services for millions of survivors of domestic and sexual violence in America.
  • The Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019, which would both keep firearms away from dangerous individuals and help prevent gun violence.
  • Even the Homeless Veterans Family Act that could help countless veterans find affordable housing has yet to receive a vote.
Jason didn't run for Congress to play partisan games -- he ran to serve the families of Colorado. But McConnell's allies in the Senate refuse to pass even the most bipartisan, common-sense solutions.

McConnell's legislative graveyard is stalling progress at the expense of the safety and well-being of our families.

Add your name to stand with Jason and tell McConnell's allies in the Senate: Do your jobs and start passing these critical bills NOW >>

Thanks,

Deserai Crow
