Quick update from Wisconsin -- yesterday Republican legislators released draft maps and to be honest, I’m looking at a congressional map right now that looks suspiciously like the one Scott Walker signed into law in 2011.
There is no doubt, Republicans are doubling down on their 2011 gerrymanders.
We’re gearing up for a fight here in Wisconsin. But also in North Carolina. And in Ohio. And in Georgia…the fight for fair maps is officially in full swing nationwide.
Can I count on you to chip in? Every dollar makes an impact on grassroots efforts.

We’re seeing a pattern with GOP-drawn maps -- diminish competitiveness by manipulating district lines, fly in the face of census data and voting trends, and undermine public input. This is how they are doubling down on their 2011 gerrymanders.
In Wisconsin, Republicans are also following the pattern of undermining commissions that elevate citizens in the redistricting process. The fact that the GOP legislators released these maps at the same time the People’s Maps Commission released new drafts feels like a strategic decision to confuse voters and pull media coverage -- which certainly feels in line if they’re taking a page out of Scott Walker’s book.
Today our team is working to analyze the maps -- both from the commission and the legislature -- to help voters in Wisconsin understand which maps would best represent their communities.
While we dig into the maps, will you make a donation to support the work All On The Line is doing across the country?
