What’s the point of Democrats holding a majority if we don’t do anything with it?
We know that the Build Back Better Agenda will build on the work the American Rescue Plan did to slash poverty, and invest in bold climate action, affordable housing, childcare, Medicare expansion, and much more. This is the work that voters elected Democrats to do – it’s why 70% of Americans support this bill.1
Alexandria is fighting to advance Biden’s agenda and pass this bill, but a small minority of corporate-backed senators funded by big oil and big pharma donors are blocking the legislation. We cannot let this handful of corporate politicians derail the work Democrats were elected to do.
From day one, Alexandria has held the line and spoken truth to power about the real motivations behind blocking this bill. But she needs a powerful movement behind her backing her up.
Alexandria has laid it out: The real questions are, will we deliver universal pre-K to this country or not? Are we going to expand health care to our seniors and include vision, dental, and hearing or not? Are we going to invest in housing so that our communities can get hot water in winter time or not?
The answers to these questions are yes. It’s what voters elected Democrats to do, and it’s what Democrats must now deliver.
