This virtual event coming up Tuesday, October 26 at 3PM-5PM PDT joinsSwinertonandNPH’s Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Working Groupto discuss how we can step outside ‘business as usual’ to make procurement of professional services more inclusive and equitable and include more firms with women, BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), and LGBTQIA+ owners and leaders.
Please note that today is the last day to register to join the second half, the networking portion of the event. Registration for the first half, the webinar style portion, will remain open until Monday, October 25.
Part 1: We’ll start with an hour of discussion led by leaders of BIPOC professional services such as architects and engineers, as well as representatives from Bay Area nonprofit affordable housing developers, on ways to overcome the barriers to increasing the participation of diverse professional services in affordable housing development. Registration for Part 1 ends Monday, October 25.
Part 2: The second hour is for networking, where we can meet and greet with regional BIPOC and other diverse vendors who are interested in working on affordable housing projects. (Please note that the first hour will take place via Zoom, and the second hour via Remo. Detailed instructions will be sent to all registrants.) Registration for Part 2 ends today!
