When corporations say they’re doing good, we want
to believe them. They spend boatloads of money advertising their
charitable efforts and support for key legislation such as
guaranteeing the right to vote.. But while Hank is holding the
line to pass the full Build Back Better agenda, too many
corporations who want us to trust them are still lobbying against
the interests of the American people:
* Leaked audio showed an Exxon lobbyist describing
how he and his company are fighting efforts to respond to the
climate crisis, despite the company's role in causing the
crisis.
* The pharmaceutical industry is viciously fighting against any
reforms in Congress that will create reasonable drug prices for
Americans.
* A Publix heiress gave $150,000 to the Republican Attorneys
General Association, partially funding the Jan. 6 insurrection.
* A Facebook whistleblower revealed the website knows the harm
it’s doing, but continues to encourage conflict to drive up
advertising sales.
This
is why progress is so hard to achieve in Washington. These
corporations have vast resources propping them up, but Hank
relies on grassroots supporters like you. He is refusing to back
down to the hypocrisy of these behemoths, but he could use your
