Fellow American,
BAM. Punch… punch… punch.
A female student came running at Adam Fairchild — a student at University of Colorado-Boulder — and started punching him continuously.
Adam’s “offense”?
Minding his own business while walking around a neighborhood near UC-Boulder, his college, while wearing a red hat that featured a political slogan.
The student shouted profanities at Adam, as she punched him for simply having different political beliefs.
Perhaps the worst part is that school administrators helped cultivate this hostile learning environment for students like Adam. He didn’t event want to go through the complex process of reporting the incident because Adam didn’t feel the school would have his back.
As a result, the female student got away with attacking him.
Adam has shared with me, based on his personal experience, that college students around the nation are self-censoring more than ever.
He says that students fear a hateful reaction by their fellow peers, professors, and administrators.
Adam avoided sharing his opinions and getting unfair grades, going to school administrators for help but being denied support because he’s not on the “woke” side, and even being shamed on social media by his friends and classmates.
Self-censorship is happening because of fear.
And it’s not just Adam who’s facing this fear… it’s happening to college students around the nation.
