Right now, the industry is trying desperately to fight back against the findings of the report. The National Chicken Council (NCC), a prominent lobbying organization, even released an article trying to spin white striping as a “positive” thing to see in chicken meat. 

But we fact-checked it—and surprise, surprise—it turns out the group’s profit-protecting and misleading claims don’t hold water. And we’ve got the evidence to prove it. 

Here’s the bottom line: No amount of truth-spinning changes the fact that white striping is a disease borne out of blatant cruelty. 

You and I must never forget that we have the truth on our side. The industry’s harmful tactics can only stay hidden for so long.
