John,
It’s 2021 and we do not believe in “off-years”, just odd ones. That’s why Alliance Network organizations have been hard at work to get young people vote ready this Civic Holiday season. If we want to grow young people’s political power, we must engage young voters year-round, every year.
Here is how our network is getting young people registered, educated, and ready to vote this year:

Mississippi Votes took over multiple campuses for a full week of voter registration celebrations including voter registration drives and a panel about voting rights in Mississippi.
It was impossible to miss Forward Montana on NVRD as they registered voters at taprooms, cafes, farmers markets, college campuses, and more across four different cities!
And if it could not get any better, the Asian Community Development Council (ACDC) hosted a “Be the Goat, Register to Vote” event where people could register to vote and play with goats. ACDC also hosted virtual events on Animal Crossing and Pokemon Go to get folks educated about registering to vote.

Now, it is your turn to get vote ready.
Vote Early Day is this Saturday, October 23rd, which is the perfect reminder to make sure you have a vote plan. Do you know what’s on your ballot? Do you need to verify your voter registration? Do you have a plan to vote early? Whether you are voting by mail or voting in person, head to our #VoteReady hub to make your plan to vote early.

To ensure everyone in our community can get vote ready, we must protect our freedom to vote. Call your Senators and tell them we must end the filibuster and keep fighting to pass the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act.

Monthly Donor Competition Update
Remember when Alliance Network organizations went head-to-head to grow their monthly donor bases in our annual competition? The competition is over and the results are in! [[link removed]]
Collectively, organizations recruited 177 new monthly donors, raised $2,255 in monthly contributions which adds up to $27,064 per year! This year’s Monthly Donor Competition was truly a testament to the power of people-powered fundraising. Thanks to monthly donors, these organizations can continue doing their transformative work year-round.
As we get closer to Election Day, the Alliance Network is getting young people vote ready while fighting back to defend our democracy. Thank you for being a part of this fight by making sure your community is vote ready, becoming monthly donors, and demanding our elected leaders ensure we can safely and freely cast our ballots, have our voices heard, and elect leaders who deliver on our priorities.
Our vote is our power,
The Alliance Team
