FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Thursday, October 21, 2021 Contact: Curtison Badonie, [email protected] or 505-243-9199 Local Indigenous Organizations Hosts Annual Run To Raise Awareness of Domestic Violence Across New Mexico Albuquerque, N.M.— October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month and the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women is hosting their annual ‘I Will Run for Them virtual 5K Run/Walk & 1K Kid’ awareness run to honor the resilience, strength and spirit of our Native relatives impacted by domestic violence. This event will be virtual to support the health of communities during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will have two days to complete a 5K run, jog, walk and/or any form of movement that they are able to and have access to in their home community connecting with the land that cares for them. The ‘I Will Run for Them virtual 5K’ starts on Saturday, October 23rd to Sunday, October 24th, 2021.
