John,
I’m back in Washington this week, busy advocating for the Build Back Better Act. We’re fighting to make sure families across this country benefit from this legislation and all it will bring—affordable child care, an expansion of Medicare, a national paid family leave program, and so much more.
And while there is still work to be done to get this across the finish line, I’m excited that this month’s edition of The Whiteboard is about hope, and a feeling of optimism about our future. You can read it below.
Outside of Washington, organizers and candidates are gearing up for the 2022 midterms, ready to take on any fight in the name of working people.
That’s the mission of every Truth to Power candidate, and it’s why we need to build a strong, grassroots movement to support them in 2022. John, join me in building our movement by chipping in to Truth to Power today. Your donation will help us support these campaigns as they organize, mobilize, build support, and reach more voters.
Onward,
Katie

John,
Welcome back to The Whiteboard, our monthly newsletter where we show you what Truth to Power endorsed candidates have been up to. We hope you’re having a steady week and are grappling with the fact that October is already halfway over—don’t forget to get your flu shot if you haven’t already!
This month at Truth to Power, we’re thinking a lot about hope. And how important it can be in challenging times. It’s no secret—Democrats have a tough road to 2022. There is virtually no room for error. But that shouldn’t scare us, John. It’s just further proof that we need to double down. And here’s why: We have so many folks in the corner of working people across the US, fighting for us.
We’re organizers, John, and we never turn away from a challenge.

Across our county, volunteers and activists are knocking doors and working to advance the issues that are most closely-held to their communities. People are texting their neighbors, reminding friends to register to vote, and never giving up. Because the things we are fighting for are too important to turn away from: climate change, affordable childcare, a living wage, our right to vote—the list goes on.

As we head into 2022, Truth to Power will continue to support candidates who are committed to the biggest issues of our time—and who are done waiting.
