Protecting the pumpkin patch

Fall for families in Windsor, Connecticut, means a visit to
Brown's Harvest for apple cider donuts, hayrides through the
corn maze, and picking the perfect pumpkin. In 2019, The Trust for
Public Land led a coalition securing the agricultural conservation
easement that permanently preserves 100 acres of the Brown family farm
for the community to visit and enjoy for generations to come.

Take a stand for public land

Urgent conservation projects are hanging in the balance-unable
to get started or move forward without funding promised by the Land
and Water Conservation Fund. If you haven't already, please urge your
members of Congress to stop delaying essential land and water
conservation projects by passing the appropriations bill today!

Opening doors to the outdoors in Georgia

This month marks 30 years of delivering on our land for people mission
in Georgia. There's a lot to celebrate, but three out of four
people in the Peach State still don't have the benefit of nature
nearby. That's why we're collaborating with communities to
create quality parks and realize our vision for the Chattahoochee
RiverLands.

Big news in Bigfork, Montana!

We just conserved over 200 acres of forestland that will bring miles
of new trails to Northwest Montana! This protected land pulls double
duty by offering more places for people to get outside and reducing
wildfire risk. But we're not stopping there.

Why Outside Matters

Being outside is my escape from negativity in the world. I feel peace
surrounded by trees, listening to the birds, feeling the wind and
smelling the fresh air. It reenergizes my mind and body. I feel
refreshed after a walk outside.

Each month, we feature quotes from supporters, donors, and staff on
the importance of being outside. Share your quote for a chance to be

From asphalt to amazing

One hundred million people in America lack close-to-home parks in
their communities. There's a simple solution to this problem: our
schoolyards. We've pioneered an effort to modernize America's
schoolyards for the benefit of students and communities. And we put
the children front and center, letting them drive the process.
Together, we can bring a high-quality parks to 20 million more people.

From their farm to your table

In 2010 we helped preserve 121 acres of fertile farmland in
Massachusetts, creating the Grow Food Northampton Community Farm. This
